Internet Explorer 8
Click on
FILE
and then select
PAGE SETUP
.
The Print Setup pane appears and here you can change print margins and print settings to maximize print space as much as possible.
Here's how to change settings:
First, uncheck "
ENABLE SHRINK TO FIT
" option. (This option "shrinks" the size of the printed copy.)
To enable this option, you would repeat the steps and check this option.
Change
print margins
to 0.
(0 may be automatically changed to any minimum that your printer supports.)
Disable "Headers and Footers" text boxes by selecting "Empty" from the drop down boxes.
This is not really necessary but it does increase print space.
Click
OK
.
Now it's time to check your settings before you start printing.
Open something that you'd like to print,
Go to the top of the page and click on
FILE
and then on
PRINT PREVIEW
.
On the Print Preview, you should now see how the printed copy will be like.
Check if the
Print Size
is set to
100%
.
(default is shrink to fit)
Pick a scaling rate of your choice.
I use
100%
or
97%
.
If everything looks good, start printing.
